Now, before we go any further, let's clarify something crucial. When we talk about focusing on the good, it's not about ignoring life's challenges or glossing over the hard stuff. This isn't about toxic positivity. What we're discussing today is setting a powerful intention to look for and appreciate the good around us, even amidst challenges.
Positivity is more than just feeling happy; it's a foundational approach to life. It's about assuming the best will work out, and in doing so, we open doors to possibilities and opportunities. Think about it – when you start your day expecting good things, don't you notice a shift in your energy? That's the power of positive thinking at work.
If you assume that the day is going to be a disaster, that Monday never goes well for you, you will energetically be in a place to focus on and attract things that feel like a disaster or like things aren’t going the way you want them to.
Now, let's bring in the concept of the Law of Attraction. This law suggests that positive thoughts bring positive results into a person’s life, while negative thoughts bring negative outcomes. It's about aligning with the energy you want to attract. And remember, it's not magic; it's about setting a mindset that helps you to be more receptive and proactive in pursuing your goals.
Being energetically aligned refers to a state where your energy, or life force, is in harmony with your intentions, actions, and surrounding environment. Essentially, energetic alignment occurs when what you think, feel, and do are in sync.
I also want to reaffirm that this is about getting into a mindset that helps you to be more receptive and proactive. While the Law of Attraction emphasizes thought and emotion, taking proactive steps towards your goals is equally important. This involves recognizing and acting upon opportunities that align with your goals. A little bit of a caveat there, but I think it’s important to mention that because you focus on the positive, because you’re manifesting, it’s not as if you suddenly get everything you ever wanted. It’s about setting the intention, focusing on the positive, and being open and receptive to opportunities and actions that are in alignment with you and your energy.
Positivity helps us view life’s experiences not as mistakes but as lessons. When you embrace this mindset, every setback becomes a stepping stone to growth. It's about learning, evolving, and moving forward with grace. So often, we beat ourselves up about what we did, didn’t do, should have done, could have done… and it’s exhausting. It doesn’t help. You can’t change what already happened. You can change the story you tell yourself about it. You can change how you choose to see it. You can create meaning by mining that mistake for lessons that you can take into the future.
Take a moment and think about a recent challenge you faced. Now, reframe it: what did you learn? How did it help you grow? This isn't about dismissing the difficulty but about finding the value within the struggle.
When we focus on the good, we tap into the energy of grace and flow. It’s like swimming with the current rather than against it. When you find yourself in a 'flow state', activities and actions seem almost effortless, and you are deeply engrossed and effectively performing at your best. Life feels more harmonious, and solutions to problems seem to appear more naturally. I mention grace, because energetically, it’s so important. Giving yourself grace is a compassionate practice that involves treating yourself with kindness, understanding, and forgiveness, especially in moments of difficulty, failure, or stress. It's about recognizing and accepting your own humanity and imperfections. That type of energy is positive energy. You don’t expect perfection. You don’t beat yourself up when things go wrong. You’re setting the intention to focus on the positive, even when it’s hard. That’s grace.
This isn't just feel-good talk. Studies in positive psychology show that individuals with a positive outlook tend to cope better with stressful situations and enjoy better health outcomes.
I know, it can be challenging to remain in a positive vibration. Life is full of twists and turns, but entering a downward spiral can be a slippery slope.

You can also celebrate yourself. Look for small joys and victories. It’s important to celebrate your progress, not just the end goal. If you want to go outside yourself, compliment someone. You can light someone up by seeing them and complimenting them in a way that lets them know that they’re seen. And most importantly, be kind to yourself on the days when being positive feels like a struggle. GIve yourself some grace.
Remember, positivity isn’t about perfection. It’s about progress. It's about choosing to focus on the good, even when things aren't perfect.
